NIPUNATHA (Skill development)– Technical Trades Students provided with technical education and training in the ITI trades of Electrician, Horticulture, Welder and Fitter in the In the Rajiv Gandhi Industrial Training Institute, Barsingsar, Maintenance of the ITI undertaken by NLC India under CSR.

During the year 2014-15 a total expenditure of Rs 1.024 lakhs has been spent on Nipunatha and in 2015-16 it was 0.984 lakhs.

KOUSAAL VRIDHI (Vocational Skills)
it provides Skill Development Training in the trades of Light Motor Vehicles Driving, Heavy Transport Vehicles Driving, Conventional Mining / Earth Moving Equipment Operations and Vulcanizing to the people of Surrounding villages of NLC India Ltd. Projects.

Infrastructure works and supply of equipment/tools for the ITI completed at Barsingsar, Rajasthan State:166 students trained in Electrician, Horticulture, Fitter and Welder Trades in 2014-15.Total Expenditure on CSR for the last four years Rs.11.30 Cr., including other infrastructure projects like roads, School Building etc



During the year 2014-15 a total expenditure of Rs 18.309 lakhs has been spent on Kaushal Vridhi and in 2015-16 it was 20.444 lakhs.


Diploma in Mining Course by NLC India & Annamalai University under CSR, in line with Govt. of India’s “Skill Development Mission”.

To promote Government of India’s “Skill development Mission” and to impart knowledge ,experience and excellence in the area of Corporate Social Responsibility through training, workshop, work-association and education, in line with our Vision and Values, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between NLC INDIA Ltd. And ANNAMALAI UNIVERSITY for starting a Diploma course in Mining from academic year 2016-17, to harness the skills and knowledge of young men and women, as part of NLC INDIA’s CSR initiatives.




Salient Features of MoU

         The Diploma in Mining is a 3 years regular course.
         The Diploma Programme is part of the Skill Development Centre created by Annamalai University in collaboration with NLCI.
         NLC India is organizing this programme as a part of its CSR activities.
         The Diploma programme seeks to equip the students with basic Mining concepts, and pave way for acquiring higher qualifications in Mining.
          Auto, A/C Mechanics, Safety and other skill development programmes will be organized.
         50% of the seats will be allocated to NLCI. NLCI will reimburse 50% of the tuition fees paid by the Project affected persons who pursue
           Diploma in Mining Course.
         The infrastructure facilities will be provided by NLCI at cost of Rs.3.50 Crores.
